Project Description

Euro Garages are a leading independent forecourt convenience retail company with global coverage. They provide retail experiences within grocery, merchandise, foodservice and fuel. Manor Weald Service Station, working alongside Euro Garages, developed an upgrade to the service station which included developing a Spar, Subway, Greggs and Costa Coffee onto the site.

What Was Needed

Due to the site gaining more foodservice providers, Manor Weald Service Station predicted that the volume of sound would be increasing. As a result, it was decided that an acoustic solution was needed.

What We Did

JCW Acoustic Fencing was tasked with providing 85 metres of JCW Absorbent Sound Screen at 2.4metres high for the service station. Part of the project required a section of the fencing to have timber posts. Another section of this fencing needed to be fixed onto an existing brick wall.

Absorbent Sound Screen Results

Despite the unique requirements of this project, the JCW Acoustic Fencing team successfully supplied and installed Absorbant Sound Screen. The service station is now compliant with local sound regulations. The absorbent sound screen that was delivered to Manor Weald service station has been a success, with sound levels recorded outside of the soundscreen perimeter significantly lower than the legally accepted level.
