New Dawn Homes

New Dawn Homes is a prominent property developer located in Tewkesbury, focusing on creating high-quality residential areas. A recent project, Ashchurch Fields, required significant soundproofing to ensure the comfort of the residents. The construction of new homes near a busy road posed a potential noise problem, which could negatively affect the residents’ quality of life.

What Was Needed 

To address the potential noise issues from the nearby traffic, it was essential to implement a soundproofing solution that would mitigate the noise without compromising the aesthetics and functionality of the new development. The project required an effective and sustainable solution that would blend with its surroundings while significantly reducing noise levels.

What We Did 

JCW Acoustic Fencing was contacted in August 2022 to develop a solution. After detailed discussions involving the project’s acoustic consultant, it was decided to install JCW Sound Traffic Barriers along the perimeter of the development. The barriers covered an area of 155m, standing 3m high, and were specifically designed to reduce noise pollution from the adjacent road. Steel posts were used to ensure stability, and particular attention was given to the integration of the barriers with the overall landscape design.

The Result 

The installation was completed over a three-week period in August 2022. The JCW Sound Traffic Barriers effectively reduced the traffic noise, enhancing the living conditions for the residents of Ashchurch Fields. The barriers not only provided a significant noise reduction but also complemented the aesthetic of the development, fitting seamlessly into the environment. The successful implementation of this project underscored New Dawn Homes’ commitment to creating comfortable and peaceful residential spaces.
